The overall health of our trees and forests can also be a general indicator of the overall health of Earth, its atmosphere, and its biosphere. Because the Earth is currently the only planet we have to inhabit, we should care about the things that make for a healthier planet…including its trees and forests.
Part of that initiative involves the Global Forest Watch. GFW is an open-access online platform that includes tools to help you keep your finger on the pulse of the world’s forests.
Since being launched in 2014, Global Forest Watch has been accessed by more than 1.5 million people and has earned several awards and accolades along the way.
